WHICH MAKE OF COMBI WOULD YOU BUY

Why would you trust the opinion of people on here above installers who you will meet in the flesh, discuss your requirements with and where one will eventually be the one who installs the boiler for you, each installer has their own preference, one installers favourite boiler, will be slagged...

They are not like any consumer, the media have access to large parts of the population and can influence the publics opinion, even if they are completely wrong, which they often are.

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

Anyway this whole topic was started on what the Daily Mail had to say, what the **** do they know about heating, or the journalist who wrote it, again the media preaching on something they know nothing about, we should be more concerned with telling these media outlets to shut up, as they know...

Viessmann are the only one on your post I would consider as quality, but only the 200 range and above, not the 100 which was made for the mass market

installers usually take the easiest option, whatever it is, I doubt they would ever run it externally just to try and earn money for call backs

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

there is a big difference in price of UFH, if you want cheap carp that won't work very well use Polypipe, but if you want quality that works very well, then Jupiter or similar would be used, which is more expensive, because much higher quality materials are used and the system is well designed

No mains water - sure this is illegal?

Water is a basic necessity for life, the fact that the shop owner has taken their supply of water away, he has effected their quality of life, so he should pay for that, I would check where they stand legally with the options Onetap suggested, but it would be what I would want to do in the same...

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

Your not reading what I write, if I find a route to run it internally, then I will, that means its not impossible, if it has to run externally I will ensure it is for as short a run as possible, I will use 40mm pipe, 50mm if I feel it is needed and if very exposed I will use closed cell...

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

I think you will find with the attention it has received this year from the media, your customers will be happy to accept whatever it takes so they don't have a boiler breakdown in this cold waether due to frozen condense pipes. it depends on the house, as doitall rightly pointed out I work in...

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

How can it be needless if it prevents the condense from freezing and stopping the boiler from working, leaving the customer cold in these extreme conditions, so you would rather the boiler breakdown, rather then add something that could prevent this. If I find a route internally, it would not...

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

Using larger pipes is not expensive, having a bit of an awkward run to take the route internally is not that expensive, if required insulating the pipe with trace heating is not that expensive.

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

I agree, I have never seen a frozen soil stack in my 27 years as an installer, unless as you say it is blocked, it would not happen

Condensers have had it! Well, According to the DM they have!

You have seen an internal 4" soil stack frozen solid, don't make me laugh, that would not happen, if the stack is internal it is within the thermal envelope of the building, I don't believe you, are you saying that the inside of the house was minus 10, which it would need be to freeze straight...
