Toasty,Are you sure your tv consumes 300-400 watts,I remember our first colour tv telefunken 26" we bought in 1973 and that consumed 350w. In 1982 we bought a grundig 26" and it consumed 60w quite a difference but if a plasma/lcd consumes so much power they can keep them. Also the subject of...

    Things that don't deliver

I have just replaced a 25W incandesent with a 7W=40W low energy lamp and it is just a bit brighter than the 25W lamp. Another thing to consider is if they are used outside and it's cold that will probibly reduce the light output as they do with fluorescent tubes. Also if you happen to cctv...

I take it your recieving winter hill like myself as the aerial group is C/D for analogue and freeview,I think you would be better off getting a variable amplifier so you can adjust it to suit the incoming signal. The noise figure is also important the lower the better,Have a look at the site...

Kettle lead power supply to LCD TV

5 amp is ample you could easily get away with a 3amp,But why they have supplied a lead with a 10amp fuse is beyond me but at the end of the day the tv has internal fuses anyway. I always fit 3amp fuses to my equipment and when i used to repair tv's it's suppising how many had 13amp fuses in the...
