    I think you would have to rip up the hardwood and then you can go on the floorboards (if it is boards) with something like BAL Fastflex or lay ply down (minimum BS is 15mm) then you can go on it with any adhesive manufacturers standard adhesive with an ad-mixture.

    I would mention it to him while it is correctable. If you leave it untillthe end of the job you may find he will try to wriggle his way out of the problems. If you can mention them now at least you get what you want which I would say is more important than the cost of the job. Regards Dan

    If it's class B adhesive it will break back down with water, if it's class AA it won't. I would sand what you can off and then just tile it will a class AA adhesive. You don't need to unibond anything. Regards PITT Dan
