[/url] That will not work and is not a very accurate way of marking out a stairway .the measurement on the stairs should be 90degrees of the angle of the staicase .Simple as that :)

Thanks for the replies, It was a tree I cut down 15yrs ago and has grown back from the roots .I was woorried because this year was the first year I had noticed fruit on it since all that time ago and I was going to take the fruit of before the local kids got to it as I was not sure ,anyway...

I think it will be less confusing for you, if you set out the stairs first ,the measurement is 1300mm at a 90degree angle to the stairs ,draw this line on the wall past the the bottom and the top of the stairs . THen draw a level line around your hallway at 1300mm these lines will now...
