New socket - running cable - drywall dot and dab.

Hi all, thanks for the replies. Firstly, let me show you the length and complexity of the route. It has 3 corners, and the sockets will be about 3 metres apart. There was already an existing socket run, but it was in trunking. (Which I have removed already - you can still see the old...

New socket - running cable - drywall dot and dab.

    1. No there will be a bed blocking the existing one. 2. Not sure I understand the question. 3. It is not a spur, and I'm not sure about the final ring. I can add to this, someone had already added the socket but they ran the cable external in trunking. But this looks butt ugly, hence why I...

New socket - running cable - drywall dot and dab.

Hi, I would like to add a new socket about 3 metres away from an existing socket in the bedroom. The existing cable runs between the drywall and brick wall dot and dab; along the floor and then up. Question is, can I fish the new 2.5mm2 t&e along the bottom of the cavity to the new socket...

    Freestanding Oven replacement.

Not confused about that, the confusing bit is that the instructions contradict the initial setup. They should clearly state the two conditions.

Was that from Bosch? The site I purchased it from doesn't mention a plug. http://www.builderdepot.co.uk/bosch-oven-and-ceramic-hob-pack-stainless-steel-black.html

    Freestanding Oven replacement.

Upon further reading, I have found that the fuse in the plug is only to protect the cable not the device. The appliance does allow me the ability to unscrew the entire cable and plug. Thereby allowing me to connect the existing 6mm2 t&e direct to the new oven. Does that sound right?

    Freestanding Oven replacement.

Hi all, I have a old freestanding electric double over with hob that I was hoping to replace with a single built in oven and hob. The old cooker is connected to a spur below the counter and a 6mm2 T&E tail to the appliance. The spur above is connected to a red cooker switch with...
