if its the brushes on the way out then it will spin with no load then gentle spin whilst washing but no rinse spin then no spin at all

float switch ( anti flood device activated ) check the base for leaks tip machine backwards and see if water appears can also put about 8 litres of water into the machine (switched off) and see if you see it trickle away

unplug the machine take the lid off put your hand down the front near where the hook to the door clicks in and you click it open there

have a look at the top springs and suspension legs for any obvious signs of damage also top & front counterweight bolts , check they are tight with a socket

as rocks1 says at the end of the washer cycle the waste pipe is inserted in water causing suction to syphon the water back ito the machine. do you have a connection in the u bend under the sink for the washers waste pipe or do you just put the washers waste hose into a vertical waste pipe...

might have a piece of crockery or glass stuck on the impeller inside the motor housing. worth a lookie before purchasing new bits
