Flashed 2 panels, both gone tits up and been sent back. All seems to go well but once rebooted just has network 1 red led permanently on. Equivalent of xbox red ring of death.

Cant think what it was exactly but there's 1 or 2 major differences when connecting to a panel with IP-com instead of USB-com. Wintex has the software keypad function but it 'may' be this function that doesn't work on IP, alternatively there's the extremely flaky java app which 'may or may not'...

All easy enough with com-ip, hardwired connection from panel to router, give panel an IP address and use that IP in wintex account setup page. Wintex will pickup there's an IP entered or not for each account you open and give you the option to connect via network. Accessing remotely i'd say...

All the tick boxes i've seen have always said "Do you have a professionally installed and maintained alarm system" To which his answer would be no, never seen one that just says "Do you have an alarm system"

There's genuinely a 64 bit version? The 32 bit works fine on my 64bit pc.

Problem with the Com-ip is I struggled to get it running properly on a mobile, which i'm guessing is what you want to do while your out rather than do it via PC etc? Alternatively the com2400 (and 300) can use touch tones to arm/disarm systems so long as you dont mind your panel picking up...

Its not sounding good really, if panels defo powering up only things left is to try are defaulting and try using the other AB lines (2,3 and 4). If that doesnt work yeah i'd expect you'd need a new panel.

Keypad doesn't power up at all even from the Rio? Or you just get the row of **************** on it? Should be aware you cant power up a SMART RIO from battery it has to be from mains through the transformer (not 100% true), and the 4 pin lead isnt straight through pin to pin. Looking at mine...

Always possible I suppose. Whats your actual problem and how did you come to think it was the PSU that was the fault?

Can always power the main panel directly by fitting a smart Rio in place of the PSU section of the panel. Connect between S1 on Smart Rio and S1 on main panel, and do away with the 6pin header plug and the PSU completely. Just be aware you'll need to have a spare rio address(on LINE 1) and...

What router? If its accessible over LAN (i.e wifi from your phone) it's only a matter of making sure you have the right ports open, (is it 80, 37777 and 37778 for Alien?) and theyre being forwarded to the right internal network address. Oh, and your correcting to the right IP address...

Accenta still lock out when theirs a tamper on system? Been ages since I used one. Clear any tampers and you may find keypad comes back to life.

We dont use Pyronix gear as the norm but we have in the past and they seem prefectly decent detectors. Assuming you set them up right. :wink:
