    the chances are it will bubble when the new wall paper is put over the top , they may or may not dry back ,but to be on the safe side i would strip it off and start again ,it will probably come of dead easy if you soak it a couple of times

    if it was bare plaster you wouldn't need the undercoat cos there is no paint to flake , just put 1 or 2 coats of emulsion thinned by about 30% then 2 coats of oil eggshell , no amount of steam from a bathroom will shift that :D

    give it all a good wipe down no need to soak it though :wink: spot prime any bare wood , then give it all a coat of oil based undercoat, then you can gloss ,assuming you dont need to fill or caulk anything, if you do , do it before you undercoat :D

    how about giving it a coat of undercoat ,to stop moisture penetrating then use a ready mix to hang new paper, i know it's not good practice ,just suggesting a solution :D

    i use 1200 mostly, from the dulux dec centre , i expect the b&q 1000 grade is thinner than the dulux 1000

    all oil based glosses tend to yellow over time :( some makes quicker than others, an alternative is to use a water based gloss as these dont yellow

    thinning paint

    best way to get your oil based paint a bit thinner and easier to apply is to keep it warm ,i never keep gloss in the van this time of year as it does thicken up, i've also been known to put it in the airing cupboard over night :wink:

    sounds like you used an acylic/water based primer. i would remove it and use an oil based metal primer or one of the all in one radiator enamels you can get
