This may sound silly have you activated the (ECONOMY BUTTON ) which is on the facia panel, i often call out to this problem, this will cut the supply to the element

It could be the heater that is faulty as the appliance is waiting for a heat rise, as with most washing machine if there is no heat, they will rapidly advance to a stop position,chech element or thermister/ thermostat

You can buy extension feed hoses of 2.5 mtres also drain hoses which will connect to your excisting drain hose with ferrels & j clips, you can purchase these from any D.I.Y shop.

There will be no drop in performance, at worse water droplets may collect in hose but will evaporate, this same hose is used in Tumble dryers, do not worry :wink:
