    It does say in the installation manual, and you'll have to adhere to the regs on this...sounds like you'll need to reroute it so it exits the room into fresh air, although I have seen one go out through a conservatory!!!

    The reason the stop end moved was expansion of air as you were soldering, you need either an open end or something to stop it moving ...can't you use a compression stop end ...is the long run a dead leg

    You may have to run a stanley knife down the tongue if your boards are tongue & groove You can hammer the nails down through the board with a punch ...I'd rather take a bit longer, I hate knackered floorboards, don't ask a spark to do it, they're butchers (ducks for cover :roll: )

    The only thing you can safely wrap around copper pipes without fear of oxidisation is - air! ...that means sleeving or dry foam insulation

    As some of the rads are on a 'single pipe' system, putting TRV's on any would only work in one room, once the TRV shuts, all the rads on that pipe start cooling too
