    NICEIC continuation sheets.

RF, do you always number your 3 phase boards that way? I know it is a matter of preference how a db is numbered and as long as it is clear it is not an issue, but that way is the least common I have seen. I prefer to number from the top left down, then top right down.

    NICEIC continuation sheets.

Does anybody know why these continuation sheets were changed from 24 lines to 21? There seems to be no reason to it as there is no more information that requires that much more space at the top and bottom of the form. Is it really as cynical as trying to sell more pads? I'm doing a PIR at the...

    Picture quiz

Eric, I have answered your question in my previous post. I gave it a code 1 not code 2. If I can use the " Would you want that in your house" analogy. I go to my mother's house and she says " look at the socket I've had fitted by this bloke, It's in the bathroom so I can use my hairdryer in...

The shower head reaches within 0.4m of the socket, in MY best practice guide it is a code 1. Either the shower or the socket has to go. It is a horrible attempt to convert a shower room into a hairdressing room. I don't see why the job couldn't have been done properlyby removing the toilet...

    Picture quiz

This is the debate I had on site and the reason why I posted on here,to get a few different opinions on it. I know it is unlikely that anyone will be showering in the room but there is no getting away from the fact that it is a wetroom with a hairdressing sink in it. Threfore no socket outlets.

Ok, I'll rephrase, Code 1 if within three metres of the edge of zone 1 in a room with a fixed bath or shower.

    non-standard 13A outlets, options please

Horrible things with tiny brittle terminals on them. Nobody seems to ask for them any more, got dozens of them in the van. They are no good with wall warts, requiring an extension to be made up.

Socket outlet in a room containing a fixed bath or shower, regardless of it being a masterseal, Code 1 every time.

The socket is definitely the right way up :) Also the drain hole is not on the picture, sorry about that. The story is that this room was (and still is as far as i'm concerned) a wet room with a fixed mixer shower that has been crudely converted into a hairdressing room. There is...

    regs book options?

What's wrong with having a tatty regs book? At least it shows it's being used  Nothing worse than a shiny new regs that comes out once a year for the scheme provider's inspection. I keep mine in a plastic wallet along with updates, manufacturer's info on mcbs/mccbs and guidance notes.
