    there's about 3/4" to seal up below the window. the first window is 1800 long, i've another 2 at 2400 long so, you wouldn't recommend trowel mastic? Joe-90, trowel mastic is a linseed oil/sand mixture bought in tubs to seal below wooden & metal framed windows etc...

    spot on with your post there, had 2bar pressure, when the system switched on, the pressure went up to 3bar and some system water bypassed throught the PRV. the boiler maintenance cover guy is coming out today, at least ti know what to say to him cheers :)

    cheers, i've got a wee bit of info about putting a wee bit of pressure on the boiler and closing the flow/return gate valves to see if it's the boiler, open and to see if it's the pipework i'll give this a try today

    cheers for the reply. i was half minded to try nitromorse on the ceiling lol i'll maybe sugarsoap the ceiling and see about fulling & sanding it and give it a good few coats of matt paint to see what it's going to look like

    the reason you don't mitre them if for shrinkage & fixing, if the skirting shrink due to the heat in the house, every joint will open, also when you fix the skirting, it'll want to open the joint. when scribed, your first bit of skirting is fixed, then you scribe the other part to it, yes...

    I've just had to strip the paper from my bathroom ceiling again, as it's started to peal off at the comb ceiling. i think the main problem is that a previous owner painted the ceiling with a gloss type paint. we sanded it and painted over with a matt paint for the paper to stick to better...
