    Do you still get the thin wire for lagging pipes? After 30 years, I've just went and lost my string line! and like many joiners they got a spool from the plumber as these were near indestructible and the perfect size.

    when i started the workshop planner/thicknesser started by pulling the lever down until it got to a certain speed then you flicked the lever up to get it running, there was also a ply board put on the table to stop the thicknesser cuttings hitting the guy tailing off :eek:

    push the black rubber seal back into position maybe a plumber or so has been doing something with the waste pipe and dislodged the seal

    Oiled Wood

    I got some skirting & facing from a mate, he has Danish oiled it. What i'm reading, i need to use a polyurethane varnish over the oil ? See once it has a coat of the polyurethane varnish, can i give it a wee sand down and use a normal water based varnish for a second coat?
