If you are at work then it maybe security permissions preventing copying. If your friend can copy the files to a shared location were you have full read write access then you should be OK.

Hi Richard Can you copy the tracks to your Hard Drive? If so can you copy from HDD to your USB memory stick. You could also try holding Ctrl while dragging and dropping.
