    Worcester 28 SI II

just an update on this fault. The customer ended up getting worcester out to it and i think you might of been right . The gas valve was partly blocked so when you test the inlet pressure it is correct but it wasn't getting throught the valve properly.

    Part-P

i was told by a tutor at a college when i went on a Combi course approx 2 years ago that they prefer you to put a boiler on a plug and flex so that it can be totally isolated from the supply and you can see that it has been disconnected. you can also plug your socket tester in to check the supply.

    solar set up

can't quite picture what you are describing but there is a TMV so that it isn't sending the water to the combi too hot and also it will increase the capacity as it is blending cold water with hot. Solar can get quite hot so best to have a TMV on the hot outlet. Althought i wouldn't store the...

    Part-P

same here i just wire combi's onto a plug and plug them in. Or leave it on an extension lead until a sparky get get round and sort it out. I still swap pumps and zone valves . Not sure about regs on this.

    Replacement Boiler-Baxi Or Better?

depending which baxi he has quoted you. Baxi/ potterton as a company have some catching up to do respectivly with the other leading manucafures. Its ok having a 5 year warranty which you pay approx £200 for on top but you want them to be out asap which baxi are not the best at keep promises...

    solar combi

this is the b & q setup isn't it. Yes this will work fine but as we have said already just need to make sure which ever combi you go with is compatable (accepts pre heated water)

plugging in a boiler in a kitchen

i was told when i went on a combi course a couple of years ago that they like you to put a 3 pin plug on a combi so that you can postivly isolate it. instead of switching a switch off and could be wired wrong wat round etc and live is still live if not a double pole switch. A combi boiler is...

    Blocked Central Heating

there has to be a water flow for the chemicals to work otherwise you are wasting your time. I presume to took the radiator off and cleaned it out. If the pipework is blocked then maybe the only way to clean it is by doing it proffessionally with a power flusher (pump). Just check to see if...

    solar combi

I was understood that if the return temp was below 57 deg C then it would condense. This is what i was told. If the boiler is undersized or rads oversized then it will help the return come back a little cooler but probably not give you enough to heat up sufficiently.

    Problems after powerflush

sounds like you have a primatic cylinder in. It may well be just some air that is trying to filter out of the system. If it doesn't settle down then get him back.

    solar combi

[/url] i can't quite see how that will work. Looks like to me that the DHW flows through a solar panel and if this is so how come the DHW cold fill tank is lower than the panel. The Combi that i know od that will accept pre heated DHW from solar is a boiler called Wolf TGB 40 as i...

    oil boiler regs

Can u install a oil boiler but can only be commissioned by a OFTEC engerneer. That was my understanding of it anyway.

    solar combi

there are some combis on the market that will take solar pre heated water. Like Alpha do a system. To be honest it isn't the best way of heating water via solar. You need to store quite a lot of it for it to be worth while. So If you want a combi buy An Alpha condensing combi or if you want to...

    sludge remover

to be honest if it is that bad then it has to risked with a powerflusher. Sludge removing chemical can only loosen a certain amount of sludge. If you are using X400 then it has to be left in approx 3-4 weeks. I tend to use Ferroquest which can give the same effect in a single flush. If the...

Ariston EuroCombi boiler fault - important update ?

what the above post ment was there are sometimes 3 different parts for the same boiler. Ariston are very good at making parts look the same but are very different as i found out with a Microgenus Diverter valve repair kit. To make sure you get the right part you need the Serial Number of the...

    ravenheat

first of all why are you installing a Standard Effiecency boiler instead of a Condensing boiler? You will probably find it is the pump that has got jammed. Give it a spin witht he screw driver and it will probably work fine. Ravenheat seem to send boilers ou with jammed pumps in quite a bit i...

    biasi combi boilers

to be quite honest i have fit loads in rented houses and not repaired that many. For the money you can't go wrong. Yeah spares are expensive but not many that arn't. I think pound for pound the Biasi wins over any Baxi. infact If you want a Baxi get a Potterton they usually work out cheaper...

Ariston EuroCombi boiler fault - important update ?

i had the exact same fault with another eurocombi a23. usually PCB. but which one is anyones guess. I think there are 2 in the A23/ A27 eurocombi. I think it was the power board on the one i was messing with.

    50 kW system boiler

i would think the vitodens 300 will modulate down quite a way. The house isn't really that big. It just has a hell of a lot of big radiators in. It ciurrently has a Glow worm 40kW boiler in but it has been added to and added to and i think the boiler is struggling to cope.
