    Wireless options?

Hi Jack, The existing stat is wired to the control unit, which goes to the boiler, Potterton Promax HE. This is then heating a direct thermal store which heats the DHW via an internal coil and mains feed blender. I don't think there are valves, just one pump on the boiler side of the...

Hi DP, Thanks for the reply. I thought I had mentioned it but that was in another topic..... I can see the water circulating up through the outlet pip in the F & E tank. I have CH and DHW working fine so I guess I will just foget about it if the pros don't seem to know if it is a problem...

    No inhibitor!

A bit worrying... The water in the F&E tank on top of the thermal store is red hot, this is causing condensation to drip down the overflow pipe. I think something has gone wrong? Is a valve playing up somewhere? Pics of the inside of th F&E tank showing the level below the overflow pipe...

    Wireless options?

Ok, I have taken the front off the control unit and buzzed out the 'spur' cable. At present the spur cable is connected to terminal 3 (DHW N) and N. I guess it is to allow the hot water to be turned on if the control unit fails? Can I rewire it to terminal 4 HTG ON and put the wireless...

    Wireless options?

Thanks for the reply. So even if the thermostat does not have an on/off at the moment, I could replace it with one with the functionality that would 'talk' to my current control unit? Here is a pic of the inside of the current room thermo:

Can I not just do something with the spur cable? Is there just a straight wireless on/off system?

Hi Everyone, I would like to install a wireless control for my CH. It is pure lazyness. I would like to turn on the heating from my bedroom without the programmer because we get up at different times from day to day :). The current controller is this one: With a standard Danfoss...

    No inhibitor!

Hi do it all, Thank you for the advice on the air vent, much appreciated. The pump changed is the one on the boiler side. The ch is running great now, quiet and red hot. I can easily check the other pump (heating) when I drain down the system. I have one radiator (furthest away from the...
