block pave hump at threshold of gravel drive

I was wondering if anyone can advise on making a restraining hump at the threshold of a gravel drive to stop the gravel escaping onto the road. I’m thinking of making the hump using block pavers (3 rows deep) … my plan was to use 100mm of lean mix concrete laid in a slight hump profile then bed...

    permeable driveway requirements

I hadn’t really thought about whether it would actually be enforced – no reason to think there will be any problems with the council/neighbours. The only thing I guess would be if it would be highlighted as an issue if/when we were to move house. If I did use type 1 sub base and paved the...

removing sink and cutting off supply to taps

Cheers! Will go for those stop ends then. Yeh, I would ideally like to remove the pipes but it's not really going to be possible to yake up the tiled floor at the moment.

removing sink and cutting off supply to taps

Is anybody able to advise on cutting off the water supply to sink taps? I am redoing our downstairs toilet/utility room and have installed a new sink/taps in a different location (using the old washing machine supply). I now want to remove the old sink so need to shut off the water supply...

Decking joints - staggered or seam board?

Also a good idea! In the end I went for the seam board which is kind of similar except the board is positioned vertically - this merged quite well with the fascia boards around the edges.
