Honeywell CM927 with Vokera combi boiler

No thermostat at the moment. Looking at the LP711 it has a fused mains socket beside it. Mains cable comes from that into the LP711 and mains wire, labeled bolier, also runs into the LP711. Does this sound like at least the wiring is in place? Presumably the wiring marked bolier runs...

Honeywell CM927 with Vokera combi boiler

The LP711 is located in a small cupboard under the stairs, next to the door of this cupboard. Would wiring need to be altered to change over from the LP711? I would imagine wireless reception should be fine from there to the living room where I would put the thermostat itself. It should not...

Honeywell CM927 with Vokera combi boiler

I have a Vokera Linea 28 combi boiler with a Lifestyle LP711 timer. I would like to get a programmable thermostat and have been recommended the Honeywell CM927 - first of all I assume it is compatible? I need it fitted as it's not something I could do myself. 1. What is involved in...

Cooker switches off as soon as grill or oven used.

Socket has a separate circuit breaker in fuse box. My son said he opened the plug to check the wiring and fuse so I assume it's not a factory fitted plug as they are usually moulded. He said wiring looked fine and did not change the fuse. When switched back on the grill worked and he was...

Cooker switches off as soon as grill or oven used.

Ok thanks. Shall look into that first if it continues to be a problem.

Cooker switches off as soon as grill or oven used.

Yes it's been in place for around 5 years with no problem.

Cooker switches off as soon as grill or oven used.

My son has just phoned to say that his Zanussi oven ( around 5 years old) is switching off as soon as he turns on the oven or grill. It's ok when you just switch on the light part of the oven. He has said that he switched it off at the socket, took apart the plug to look at it and check the...

Need to compare output of old radiator with new radiator.

Thank you. I managed to find a pdf file which gave the heat ouput of old and new radiators. http://www.bsmw.co.uk/pdfs/A%20Guide%20to%20Radiator%20Sizes%20and%20Heat%20Output.pdf

Need to compare output of old radiator with new radiator.

Currently I have in my kitchen an old double radiator (no fins) - size is approx 590mm by 800mm. My mum is redoing her bathroom and is replacing her radiator with a heated towel radiator so has a reasonably new radiator I could use. It's a single panel, single fin of approximately 600mm by...

Quote for radiator and programmable thermostat.

I have a single radiator approx 600mm by 1760mm but it's not providing enough heat fro the room. So far I have had one quote for a 600mm by 1200mm double radiator supplied and fitted for £350. Also wanted a programmable thermostat fitted to a combi boiler - did look at the Hioneywell CM927 -...

    Vokera Linea 28 boiler

Fault 03 is indeed listed as fan/flue problem. It appears that it should be quite basic. However to fix mine it took replacement of the fan, the main pcb, the ignition pcb and finally the aps. Was it all necessary or trial and error? I don't know. The last engineer suggested that Vokera...

    Vokera Linea 28 boiler

Update to this. Engineer came out on Christmas Eve - decided that new aps was needed as Vokera had identified a problem. It was fitted Wednesday before New Year and has been fine since. Mind you he did say that there was a slight blockage in Venturi too!

Need some advice on programmable thermostats

Does the boiler use more gas whilst it's "ticking over" - i.e. the TRVs have shut down the radiators as temperature has been reached but boiler would still fire occasionally to keep water hot - as opposed to the stat turning off the boiler as temp is fine and bringing it back on when temp falls...

Need some advice on programmable thermostats

That's good. I'm not sure what one the engineer was going to find out a price for but I think I will ask specifically for that one. I was just not sure about his ability to fit one as he seemed quite against the idea of having one in the first place. The wiring for the existing one is...

Need some advice on programmable thermostats

My current system uses a combi boiler with TRVs fitted to all radiators except one. As the boiler is outside in the garage I have a 7 day programmable timer in the house. The old room stat which was in the hall area is not in use now. I am considering a programmable room thermsostat. The...

    Replacement radiator

My living room was originally a bedroom and the radiator does not really heat up the room on really cold days. Room is approximately 4yds by 6yds and 10ft high celings. radiator is a single radiator just less than 600mm and approximately 1760mm long. I suspect that I really need at least a...

    Vokera Linea 28 boiler

Well 8 months on and I'm now back to the same problem! Since the ignition board was replaced in April all seemed fine and the 03 error code finally went away. However come November and back it came. I would reset it and it worked fine for a few more weeks. The happened again, reset it again...

    Vokera Linea 28 boiler

Due to the strange plumbing of my house the water goes up to the eaves(bungalow) from the boiler then along the length of the house and down into kitchen. usually takes 30/40 secs to get decent hot water through. However I had noticed that water seemed to be lukewarm for a bit then went cold...

    Vokera Linea 28 boiler

Yes it does help to at least sound like you have a clue what's going on. I didn't need to volunteer too much today. The tsm talked about the venturi and explained what it did. He also described the 3 pcbs and their function. He says it is difficult to find this fault as it's not...
