I don't actually have vsmart I'm just thinking about getting it. I've read a lot of negative reviews on it. But there are a few really good opinions on it. I'm just trying to weight it all up before I take the plunge.

Do we know where vSmart gets the outside temp from? I know it gets it from the internet, but I mean where on the internet? i.e. which forecasting service? Accuweather, BBC etc?

That's a great review of vsmart. I wondered if you were being sarcastic as I read your post as I'm reading a lot of negativity about the opereation of vsmart.

Kaos24, I'm thinkin of going for the vSmart set up, but am reading mixed reviews. Are you still using yours and if so, has your opinion of it improved?

How did you get on with this? I'm looking at installing the vsmart kit too. I have an eco tech 637 system, installed 2011. The boiler manual says to use VR65 wiring module, but that is now obsolete and replaced with the VR66. It seems the VR66 if for ecotech boilers from 2012 onwards. I too am...

So I'm thinking of going down the vsmart route. Do I need the VR66 module too? I have a system boiler with a single heating zone and a single HW zone, currently controlled via a honeywell digital clock.

I'm reading quite a lot of negative feedback on vsmart. I believe it was meant to be the successor to their previous wc system (v430f ?? ) but apparently not quite filling all the gaps. Anyone here speak positively of vsmart?

So vsmart my only option? I'm in Cambridgeshire.

Thank you for all your support (and apologies for delay in replying). Essentially I want boiler modulated output according to outside temp, with remote access (i.e. mobile phone or tablet). It seems vsmart does this but I'm not happy that it uses internet received temps rather than actual...

Is the vr900 the wireless version of the vr700? I'd need wireless to make this feasible otherwise it's a whole lot of work to get cabling in place.

I thought the latest version of VR470f did have some sort of heat curve auto learning feature whereby it automatically adjusted the curve once it had learnt the heat up/cool down characteristics of the building?

Presumably you need a Vaillant cylinder with the appropriate sensors for this to work?

Sorry Kaos24, you have the vSmart yes? So how do we get hold of the VR900 in the UK?
