After a second look it looks as if the wall has been damaged/repaired so I sanded it right down and touched up the area with filler then gently painted using a brush as suggested managed to get the first coat on so looking good.

There's 9cm of pipe between the radiator's and the floor upstairs so that's 108cm of pipe and no kite mark, odds that its non barriered stuff?

I've had a look at the pipes and they are grey in colour with blue a 'v' printed every 2cm or so, found some markings can't make out the first part '------ class S:10CCU]x1.6mm PB, I think that's what is says as the print is facing the wall and im looking at it with a small mirror.

He diden't say he coulden't power flush it, he said he won't do it due to the pipes.

Yes I did but i'm no expert, one of the cold radiator's is the one without the thermostat next to the controll in the hall. Going to check again.

Not like the image above, they have thremostat at one end and a smaller capped tap at the other.
