    LED Bathroom Light

Cheers. That seems like a good solution then. Thanks for your help again. I'll keep you updated on how I get on. Fortunately there's a Screwfix branch that has a Toolstation practically next door so I can return the box of connectors I bought and pick these up plus the junction box from Toolstation.

Would these be ok? 0.14-4mm? They're cheaper than the 0.5-6mm ones. https://www.toolstation.com/wago-221-5-way-compact-lever-connectors/p29290

    LED Bathroom Light

I'm not sure on the cables tbh but there are some connectors currently being shared and the junction box you've linked to looks similar to the connections on the ceiling rose that's there atm so I guess that could work. I live in the north though, Preston to be exact, and they don't have any...

    LED Bathroom Light

Just realised I definitely can do because it has that shelf and three slots at the end so that looks like a good option. I can get the junction box from Toolstation too.

    LED Bathroom Light

Would I be able to fit 4 5 way ones in one junction box?

    LED Bathroom Light

I've had a look and the set from Amazon makes more sense for me to get I think. Appreciate the suggestion though.

    LED Bathroom Light

Even worse than that if you want a mixed pack; it's 85 pieces. I can order a box of 25 from Amazon on Prime delivery and then get the junction box at Screwfix. I think that sounds like a plan then. I can return the set I got while collecting the junction box...

    LED Bathroom Light

Cheers. I was thinking maybe it would be an idea to return the set of connectors I've got, I only bought them from Screwfix today, and get a set of 221 connectors instead which seem much smaller and get this junction box...

    LED Bathroom Light

Is flex where the core is made up of strands? I guess I'd need to have a look if that's the case. Are the wires likely to be a mix of flex and non flex? Also if I'm ordering a 2 core cable to go from the connectors to the light fitting does it matter what mm2 wiring I go with? Is there a minimum...

    LED Bathroom Light

Cheers. Good to know it can work with what I've got anyway so I need one of those and some 2 core cable too and I'll be good. Thanks for all your help.

    LED Bathroom Light

I've just got the light and there's definitely not enough space so will need to get a junction box. At least I know I definitely need one now. I've attached a photo of the connector set I've got. So if I use the 222 series connectors I'll need 3 of the 222-415 connectors and 1 of the 222-412...

    LED Bathroom Light

Cheers mate. I appreciate all the advice. I'll send you a photo of the light when it arrives along with some wago connectors sitting in that space to give some idea of if it will work or not.

    LED Bathroom Light

I have some 222-415 connectors too so I could use those right? I don't think it's easily accessible from my loft unfortunately because I have a gravity fed water system with a big tank above my bathroom so any junction box would need to be pushed through the ceiling. It would be great if I...

    LED Bathroom Light

    LED Bathroom Light

Thanks Ok so where in that other thread they were using 224-101 and 224-102 for the switched live and neutrals is it advisable to use a 222-412 and 222-413 so they can be placed in a junction box like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/wago-junction-box/7355f with a 2 core cable then connecting...

    LED Bathroom Light

Sorry I've not got back before now. I've bought a different light now that doesn't require an earth and has some space that should be big enough for some connector blocks. I've also bought a wago connector kit and following advice given in another thread here...

    LED Bathroom Light

Thanks for the replies, very helpful. I was just wondering on the photo of the connector on the LED light you'll notice there's three holes for each of the live, neutral and earth. Can I insert a wire in each of these instead of using connector blocks before running a single wire to each of them...

    LED Bathroom Light

Hi. Just wondering if anyone can please help with regards to fitting an LED bathroom light. I've attached a photo of the existing light fitting and wiring as well as photos of the new LED light. I'm very much a beginner with regards to electrics and the fact there's so many wires in the existing...

First Time Skimming - Advice Needed

I am hoping to plaster the entire room with the possible exception of the window wall as that wall really isn't too bad and would present the greatest challenge for me too. Would it be best to skim one wall first, learn from it and skim the remaining walls the following day or is it best to skim...
