    I have just fitted new radiators in a new build [ Henrad] they have plastic shims on the brackets but this seem to allow the rads to slide from side to side with virtually no resistance, is this normal ? how should I stop it?

    No it has not been installed yet and yes there will be copper fluxed joints adjacent to the boiler, but surely with a bit of care these can be cleaned before final fitting to avoid a full flush
