right hand side is lower hall light with a 1 gang switch. To left the lower stair light and 2 gang switch. One of these gangs turns the right hand lower hall light too. Both have to be off to turn off light. other gang turns on both stair lights.
Just to let you know it was a stuck Mid position valve. The valve and motor head were changed. The sticking was caused by 8 dead mice in the central heating header tank. Been there a while so the water in system was a little dirty to say the least.

Just moved into a property, the hotwater tank in bathroom has an overflow pipe that runs under floorboards to external wall. However it comes into conservatory. The bath sink and toilet in bathroom have an above floorboard pipe to an internal soil pipe.

Fuse ok, mains tested leaving FCU to top of light I get 100v on the live to earth and 100v on the neutral to earth. Same coming out of the remote control device to the light connections. But no where else. Noticed it is not earthed!

still same today, only way I can get to stop CH is to go to boiler in garage and turn it to lowest position Summer temp position. This in turn stops boiler firing and the CH pump then stops.
