    Veritas Excel Pins

Yes. If you've swapped them over then at some point the codes for the engineer and user will have been the same, which the system doesn't allow. For example, if the master user was 1111 and the engineer was 2222, then you'd have to change the master user's to say 9999 and the engineers...

    Hybrid System???

I never mentioned you as having bad words about wireless systems, or anyone else's name for that matter. So why are you talking about licenses and bloody tv's when this topic is about alarms? The systems the OP and I have recommended are both good quality. The only bit of useful...

    Hybrid System???

Oasis Didn't think about the Flex, I thought the OP was meaning something like a G2 with an RF portal. You can buy them as kits i think. But I don't do galaxy so i'll bow to the greater knowledge. Mind you though, that Mk8 keypad looks more like a calculator than anything else! Ha!

    Hybrid System???

Chaindaisy, my post wasn't a dig at you, i was just merely saying that there are wireless systems that are pretty good. They seem to have a bad name by some people. Some people prefer wired. i believe that they're both as good providing they are maintained and kept working properly. Indeed...

    Hybrid System???

The Honeywell system is actually a wired system with an RF portal enabling the wireless bits. Galaxy kits also don't come with an installation manual. The thing with wireless, if installed properly and looked after, it'll look after you. If you are maintaining it and checking everything on a...

    FAO: MODS, ADMINS AND WHATEVER!!

Please please please, Can you put something in the sticky, whereby it mentions that when the user has disconnected a PIR or sounder or any other peripheral while the system is live, that they may have blown a fuse in the end station. Obviously advise of mains being present needs to be in and...

Citadel XR2 - Do I need to factory reset?

Your plan seems sound. Don't forget the new battery though. Actually, the battery in the sounder might be knackered. A new sounder would be ok, not too expensive either £23 plus £3.98 delivery. I also know the connections for it, so if you buy one and need a hand connecting it up, just post...

    Replacing Eurosec CP8L keypad

And what's going to come next is the keypad won't work as the wires have shorted when the keypad was removed. 8) 8) 8) OP, try not to short them out, if you do, replace the fuse in the control panel :D

    Accenta 6 panel not responding

Bet it needs a new battery, but the unresponsiveness sounds like a typical accenta when they have a tamper fault. They "lock-out" until the fault is fixed.

    fsl on two contacts

I don't understand your last post, so lets keep it simple. Put each contact on its own zone, as you say you've run cable to each sensor. Wire and program them as normal. Job done.

    fsl on two contacts

Your not really understanding how end of line technology works, don't forget that zones are normally closed, going OPEN on alarm. The panel see's both resistors when the zone is closed. As to your question, when the one door is opened, the panel will chime, but when the second one is opened...

    fsl on two contacts

Well, the diagram shows the 4K7 resistor covering both the alarm contacts, similar to my diagram, but why they have decided to illustrate it the way they have done i haven't got a clue. But why you are reading the Ion manual when you are installing a 9752...

    Common negative supply rail

Inside the PIR there should be a screw which can be used to set the range of the detector. Try moving the PCB up/down to adjust the range. There's also a pulse count selector, again try adjusting this if the detectors are slow to pick up.

Alarm Door Contact and full set

I'd purchase this one, just becuase it has a tamper switch inside... http://www.e-fireandsecurity.co.uk/knight-d25-surface-grade-2-alarm-door-contact-white-with-tact-tamper/p3911 But this one will work fine...

    fsl on two contacts

Follow the picture and you'll be ok. its best of you take cable from the first contact to the second when you have two detectors on fsl. If you want to split it later, then loop through say the red the black wires in the first contact to the second contact, joining in the 1st contact and...

Smoke and heat alarms for regs

Please read what the OP actually put. He has wired ones, but also has two wireless ones that link to the Yale Alarm. There is no connection between the wired and wireless and he wants to know is this OK and meets the regs. But to answer the question, I don't know.
