    galvanised incinerators

I hope you don't live next door to anyone from the HSE!! Or, maybe I should just say - I hope you don't live next door to anyone???

    galvanised incinerators

I know this sounds weird, but... Paper is really difficult to burn - in bulk. You will be standing next to the incinerator for hours loading in a few pages at a time - if you dump bulk paper it will only singe round the edges and then smoke like a bas***d. Sheets of paper jammed together...

    Saw Guide - DIY

+1 to Norcon Very few occasions call for anything other than that kind of general size - they don't need to fit exactly after all.

    Sliding Wardrobe

I had one of those! The length is not so important - I am contemplating using Ikea carcases to create a 'built in' wardrobe to go along one longish wall in a spare bedroom. I want to avoid the 'freestanding wobble about like a drunken bas***d' look. As usual with this house, due to its...

    Sliding Wardrobe

Thanks Matty, I had been concentrating on the Pax range, hadn't looked at the Besta range... More homework needed!

    Sliding Wardrobe

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think you can buy the rails separately at Ikea - I think you need to buy them with a pair of doors... Worth a trip to find out I guess. (I am in the process of planning an Ikea based fitted wardrobe solution myself so have been spending some time looking...

How do i make these cuts

You could certainly do those with router - hand held or table mounted. You could also do them with a table saw.

    Where do i even start?

You will certainly need to remove all of the loose stuff. Apart from that, I would wait for my tame plasterer to come round and check the job out then take his advice. The guy I use always pops round one evening in the week just to check it out, then comes round at the weekend to get the job...

    Where do i even start?

Get a decent plasterer in and get it skimmed. Otherwise you will waste time (and money) trying to bodge it right.

    Kitchen cabinet doors

I don't know, but I think Foxhole might have been pointing you at an add a way down the list where it looks like someone is offering to match existing doors. Sorry if I have the wrong end of the stick...

    Marks on Acrylic Bath

Take a trip to Halfords... Yes really! Car polish and associated products work very well on Acrylic Baths.

    Hanging a picture

You might consider using mirror plates - http://www.screwfix.com/search.do?fh_search=mirror+plates I use these a lot for hanging, particularly where the frames might get knocked as they stick out if hung with eyes. You shouldn't have a problem with the frames splitting as long as you...

    Cold Kitchen

We have had one in the kitchen for nearly 20 years. It is a little bit rattly when it starts up, but pushes the heat out when it is running. Would certainly replace with exactly the same when it dies.

    Paint/Sprayer for Cast Iron Bath

We had an original, 100 year old cast iron, roll top bath. When we did the major renovation of the house we had it taken away, re-enamelled, properly baked on and returned. It was perfect for about 7 years, almost perfect for another 5 or so and then started looking shabby. So...

    Wardrobe Help please

I will be watching this post with interest - I intend doing exactly the same in a few weeks time in the second bedroom (now daughter has moved out of it). Similarly, I would welcome any hints and tips. I am well used to building Ikea stuff so don't anticipate too many problems.

    Which Router to choose

I would generally steer clear of Clarke stuff - as far as I can make out it is all made down to a price in China (?) The stuff I have looked at in MachineMart is all very red and shiny, but never seems very well put together.

    Which Router to choose

I have the Erbauer. I am not a pro, just a keen DIYer who likes a challenge. Very happy with the Erbauer, does all I need it to at a good price. I now wonder what I ever did before I owned a router!
