    Boiler circuit drawing....

Its not going in a massive house, 200sq m floor area, however its an old house. We've been though about 5 calculators and its the perfect size power wise for the way its going to be heated etc. They are expensive compared to 'normal' boilers however not at the top end of what you can pay for...

    Boiler circuit drawing....

That makes sense. I wonder why they put it on the flow? Loads of biomass diagrams have it on it also? Now you've seen the boiler does the drawing make sense?

    Boiler circuit drawing....

Yes I do, I was expanding on the factory diagram, I did the diagram before I read about how the valves work. Why would you fit an expansion on the return when all the diagrams I've seen for biomass have on the flow? Apart from the extra filling loops, question over expansion placement...

    Boiler circuit drawing....

I put a filling loop for each zone instead of a t. On the factory drawings the expansion is on the hot flow, that's why I did the same. Commissioning etc is all sorted. Whats actually wrong with the rough plan/drawing compared to the factory one? I'm open to any criticism on it.

    Boiler circuit drawing....

Never had biomass before, it arrives in a few weeks so just getting background pipework right in my head. I'm not installing it, just plumbing the room ready. I've plumbed my last 2 houses, however they were regular system type oil boilers that obviously worked in a very conventional way.

    Boiler circuit drawing....

You've nothing to be sorry about. I've expanded on my drawing whats going on inside. Its not quite the norm. I'm not sure where I'm mentioned anything about design, just other options

This is the factory diagram for one heat zone.... I'm having 3 but only using 2 initially so I've left that out .

    Boiler circuit drawing....

I thought it better than running a T to the separate zones? One for the expansion vessel. Whats your thoughts on the MB3? one on each return before the mixer valves or just one going to the boiler? My head is saying everything is better covered on before the mixer valves. Its a 100% new...

    Boiler circuit drawing....

Not quite a combi boiler on an S plan. Its a biomass boiler with integral store that the heating coil sits in. This is where the DHW is generated. It uses mixing valves for the heat zones as its the most efficient way of doing it. I've put 3 filling loops, one for each heat zone and...

    Boiler circuit drawing....

First of all, please ignore my dodgy drawing  I've got to get the room ready where my boiler's going in. I've drawn a sketch of whats I think I needed. 2 heat zones off shunt/mixer valves Hot water comes off the boilers internal coil at mains pressure. I've included a...

Lifting my heavy old cast iron radiator! Help please...

with a bit of scaffolding you should be able to right it quite easily, by leavering one end up, using books or something to hold it there then sliding the pole under and doing the same if you can't do it in one lift. try to use some wood as a spreader plate though so you don't stress the...

    Thermal Store and ABV

Are you after pellet or logs? Most of the decent range of pellet boilers have very clever controls, which can act as a good saving against bolting anything on. Your TRV's are after the store so will not affect it. Are you getting confused by a ladomat type valve after the boiler before...

Wiring up a shed via a plug socket.

Maybe you could ask the question of the easiest/cheapest way to achieve what you want?

Welding socket needed for 17th edition board?

By nature of the items I've never had all running at once. I have had the milling machine and lathe on though at the same time.

Welding socket needed for 17th edition board?

So how would a rotary phase converter fit into all this 'headache rule making'? In my last place I ran a 3hp milling machine, 1.5hp late and a 3phase welder off a 5hp rotary phase converter, on a 13amp socket, on a 32amp ring.

riello rdb trying to start (tiger loop)

Have you loosened off the incoming feed under the boiler to see if oil is flowing out? Might just be an airblock. Have you you got oil in the tank?

I hate asking the question, but here goes... it's about SIZE

You are funny. Its not about saving anything, its about the money you get given

I hate asking the question, but here goes... it's about SIZE

I think you'd be looking at 15k, 20k in your pocket.... That'd help pay for any works on the house

Bit rude, someone just trying to point out the payments. Free heating and cash in the pocket.

I hate asking the question, but here goes... it's about SIZE

on the ground floor, the rooms without sizes on what are they for? On a house that size a biomass would pay you about £5k a year for 5years index linked... you could store the pellets in a 1m square silo in the same room..... Just think about it as you'd make a fair few quid back.
