    flush

Kamco say that you should connect up across pump conns. And double up on cleaner. They say it won't work when pipes are blocked, or if distributor pipe is broken on double entry rad valves then the flush will be minimal.

Help - Cant turn stop cock off outside - White Hexagon?

If your in a hurry you could hire a pipe freezing machine from HSS or Mr Plant Hire etc, should be about £50 for the day so cheaper than the £90. It should have that main frozen in like 10-15 minutes if you have enough room to fit both the clamps. Then replace your internal stopcock.

Best lagging to use for HW pipes in loft?

BSS do a cheaper version of Armaflex which is good, think its called insultube or somin, can't remember. Armaflex has self-adhesive slits though which is good, saves using loads of tape.

    Pipe Benders

Hilmor for me. Had mine for about 7-8 years and they were second hand when given to me. Have a look on Ebay and see if you can grab an old set, you may get a bargain. If you do get an old set just give the insides of the formers a good clean and they should perform nicely.

Screwfix site too difficult to deal with, so

Whats wrong with a bit of mastic under a carsey? You ever tried ripping off an old basin thats had mastic pumped behind it? I hardly think someone is going to go flying off with the pan whilst squeezing out a turd! :P

Seized up stop cock in loft

A ballofix should be ok for a local means of isolation imho. Although I prefer lever valves.

    Bernzomatic load of absolute rubbish!

Yeah I use a seperate bottle and hose/nozzle for when I'm soldering up 35mm - 67mm. Its just too bulky for bumping about from the van into someones home though for domestic work imho.

Seized up stop cock in loft

I wouldn't fit a gate valve on a cold main. Be better if you used a ballofix or stop cock.
