Glue battens to the walls first with a grab adhesive and then fix to them, I'd whack some insulation in as well.

Screw (or nail) size selection ?

The choice of screw size is usually down to common sense and practice depending on the materials to be joined and the use it is going to be put to. Often the fitting will determine the screw diameter as only a certain size will go through the hole. With wood usually screw through the thin...

    Circular Saw?

Since I bought my TS55 my table saw, which could cut 8'x4's to any size, hasn't been out of the lockup, apart from small dimensioning it isn't needed.

Stud wall without ceiling head plate?

If the door is going to be reasonably central I would fix the studding for this to the warehouse ceiling and the floor. You are now only building 2 5M walls which are securly fixed at both ends. Run your top and bottom track in single lengths and you should be fine. You might want to use 7"x2"...

Sanding MDF for kitchen cabinet doors

I just did a quick check and found this http://www.homedepot.com/Kitchen-Cabinets-Cabinet-Hardware-Hinges/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xr5Zb8e6/h_d2/Navigation?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&omni=c_Hinges although I would use what you seem to call euro hinges you might find it easier and cheaper to...

Sanding MDF for kitchen cabinet doors

I'd go for 18mm MDF, if you only wanted a small round hand sanding would work, for the hinges I would go for something like this http://www.woodfit.com/product_info.php?cPath=114_227_266&products_id=18&Name=Clip%2FInserta+Plate+P%2FSteel+Cam+Adj.+0mm+Scr.Fix and...

    Problem reading pdf's

Hi, I've got a newish PC running Windows 7 and when I try to open certain pdf's a message comes up saying there are known compatibility problems. If you take the option to search for a solution it doesn't come up with an answer and if you try to cancel you get the little spinning wheel thing and...

    Door Screen Help

I'm not sure what version of 7 I've got and I'm using Firefox but on certain pdf's I get a message saying there are known compatability problems. Perhaps I should post this on the computer section as it is annoying. Good luck with the door screens.

Recip saw.. go cordless or not?

I bought a corded recip because I use it for ripping window cills out and it's quite a heavy job. I have used a cordless one but it ran out of power quite quickly. I've never needed to use the saw where there wasn't power so this was never an issue and I would think the only reason to go...

Blum clip-on cabinet hinge dampers will not clip on

I'm just checking that it was a clip top hinge and you didn't have to use a screwdriver to take it off or replace it, if you did you might not have got it back on properly.
