Filling ceiling/floor space with soundproofing in flat

I think the fire warning might refer to applying the stuff, not when it's cured.

Translaton : "I see five attractive young ladies." Edit : Or six attractive young ladies and and two of them are twins

Apparently Clarkson has been given a "Final warning" by the Beeb. If I were him I'd tell the Beeb where to shove their warning. TG UK is a massive seller, it wouldn't work without him, and he could pretty much sit back and live of the repeat fees, his newspaper column and DVD and book sales for...

At no point on in this thread or indeed on this board the internet in general or real life, have I ever claimed to hold a degree or even been to university. Either you have me mistaken for someone else, or you should drop in to Specsavers on your way to the adult learning centre to brush up...

"The Scots, A nation of cultural ghosts" - What sa

I'm currently working for an ex-Sargent-Major and the way he treats his staff suggests you are correct. He certainly has issues managing anyone with enough braincells to question orders from above.

Pardon? What signature? For that matter, what degree?

Which gets even curiouser as IIRC it was Alex Salmond's idea.

    Thief proofing a bicycle rack

Take a cordless angle grinder and round the edges off the bolts? Not exactly a stealth option though!

    DIY CCTV

Surely they should have at least ran the cable in a conduit?

The curious thing for me about this is that Cameron has allowed the voting age for Scots referendum to be lowered to 16 from 18. When I was 16 I hadn't got a clue what was what politically and would be susceptable to any load of tripe whichever popular newspaper/TV show was espousing. So why...

    Employee relations

Hence why I said to report her to the Police. I'm not an HR drone but I'd guess that "Currently on Police bail for fraud.." would carry some weight if the woman chooses to argue against her dismissal at a tribunal. Of course if she goes inside or is convicted on an offence that probably makes...

    Replacung Bath Panels

I'd be tempted to replace it with a wooden panel painted to match or in a complementary colour. Or get kitchen unit vanity panels in a high-gloss finish. I picked up some panels for the back of my kitchen peninsular units from Ikea's Cast-off Corner for pennies.

Best way to cover box above stairs

If you have the length in the room you could use the box as one end of a cabin bed.

I wouldn't sack her. I'd contact the Police and have her arrested for fraud. Then sack her.

    Lunacy

It's been like that ever since EBay was a curious new site on the corner of the internet. People see 'auction' and think 'bargain'. I've seen stuff sell second hand for more than it can be bought new.

    Hardwood external double door advise

For my garage rebuild I want double hardwood doors at the back opening outwards into the rear garden. Silly question but do these have to be made specially or can a chippy just use a pair of single doors with a blanking plate for security & weatherproofing? Got a builder comin around to quote...

Report suggests Police "damaged but not broken".

Having been victim, witness and the accused my dealings with the Police & CPS lead me to the conclusion they're only interested in meeting targets and if they happen to put a guilty person behind bars it's a bonus.

Audi A4 TDi 9196 won't start (interesting problem?!) HELP!

Black smoke is excess diesel. I'd be looking at faults with the injectr pump tbh, especially if you've been running homebrew biodiesel. I'm not sure if your Audi has a fuel pump in the tank but that might be worth looking at too.

    Petrol in a Diesel Engine

I don't think a 2001 Skoda TDI has a DPF as such. My 2003 Golf doesnt.
