I’ve just had some new windows put in and the plaster and render under them has come away (crumbled) the wooden laths are now showing. What do I need to do, clear out all the crumbled plaster and fit plaster board and re plaster, or do I re render and re plaster if that makes any sense. Thanks

I've just stripped and sanded my window casement. There are some gaps where each of the columns meet and nail holes. There is also some rotten wood which I need to clear out. I want to paint over the casement again. What type of filler should I use?

My central heating is staying on. I've turned it off at the timer and the thermostat is above the temp it would kick in. The only way I can turn it off is to turn off the boiler. The boiler also heats the hotwater tank.

I've having some work done on my roof. There seems to be quite a lot of moss on the tile joints. Should I clear this moss off? Is there any problems if I leave it on? Thanks

I have a shower mixer. The water is fed by a cold water tank in the loft and a hot water by a cylinder. If there's a problem with the cartridge what do I look for. There just doesn't seem to be enough hot water coming through the system Thanks

OK then, if I didn't go for the cheap option, then where should I buy them and what is the average cost to a non trades person for a basic 600 - 1200 rad? And if the cost is much higher than a cheap on, what am I paying for, what's the difference between the two to warrant the price difference...

I bought a new shower head and it made no difference. I take it shouldn't be the fact that the hot water cylinder is on the same level? would I need a pump? I'm not sure of the make and how to change the filter? Thanks

The hot water pipe to the shower mixer is hot and is fed into the mixer from below. The cold water comes in from above. Would this make a difference? I can see a way of getting into the mixer to check it. I may have to remove the whole thing.
