    buying Shed -Floor dilemma

If the base hasn't been cast yet you should perhaps give consideration to some sort of anchor for a bike chain, or other security measure.

I have recently used "blackcircles.com" and had no problems. You go to their site and input the tyre size that your looking for or enter your registration number and it will automatically pick the standard tyres for that vehicle. Select tyres fitted or just to supply. Enter your postcode...

Sound Issue - Hardware or Software?

There should be a model number somewhere on the board, may be quite small. Could be located anywhere though. Or try running msinfo32. Start->Run, type in msinfo32 then <Enter>. A visit to the MSI site is still recommended. They have a live update thingy which MAY work with your...

Samsung gallaxy ace s2 (4 months old)

Just a wee update for info. Have just plugged the Galaxy S2 to a computer running Windows 7. Phone connects and drivers are loaded by the operating system which allows the phone to be seen as a "portable media player". You can then navigate through the device using the windows explorer...

    rubber instead of felt

Sometimes you can be unlucky enough to get a piece with a factory joint though. I got a piece in the past and it clearly had a joint. Looked like an overlap, with the pieces being vulcanised together, but it does double the thickness at that point. Don't know why I got a piece like that, was...

    Temporary study in the Loft

If it's just a temporary "house" for yourself during your studies it doesn't need to be built of major materials. Consider a lightweight frame, then clad said frame with hardboard. You dont need to go the plasterboard route if its just a temporary. As for the ceiling just screw the hardboard...

Samsung gallaxy ace s2 (4 months old)

I think you may have to go to the Samsung site and download the "Kies" software. It will be in the Support/Downloads section, you'll need to search for the software/drivers specific to your phone and computer operating system. Check out "Kies Air" which lets you connect without the cable...

    American Style Fridge

Some Samsung fridges are supplied with 1/4" (6mm) plastic tube, and if I recall correctly the length isin't far off 5 metres. That is of course if they didn't change things and now supply a short length. You could always purchase a connector and another length of pipe. Can't recall what the...

Water leaking from the Magnaclean attached to boiler

That o-ring should always be smeared with some silicone grease. Surprised they don't include a little tube with the kit. Silly oversight.

    Power Devil Angle Grinder

The "I've never used one before" and the "disc changing/type of" statements. Please, don't take offense, everyone has to learn sometime about using a machine unfamiliar to them. It would probably be best to have someone there, who has used one before to show you what to look out for. But...

    Power Devil Angle Grinder

There are two main ways to change the disc. One method uses two “keys”. One key is like a thin spanner, the other has the end shaped like a “C” and on each leg there will be a pin protruding. The “thin spanner” key is placed behind the cutting disk and is used to hold the drive pin, to...

    edpm or pond liner ?

I know what you mean. It would be interesting to find the actual difference in lifespan for both materials in real world situations and how that compares to price difference. Until someone tries it (perhaps they have somewhere?) your doing the right thing by going with the proper roofing stuff...

Drilling a 40mm hole in a cast iron downpipe?

A good quality hole saw will go through a cast iron drain pipe. Don't push to hard and it will do the job. Used a Starrett hole saw with no problems.
