    Thanks again. Can you provide a link to a 2 in flush valve. I've had a look and I get the Gerberit which might be the one I had before. Its over £40 though. The fluidmaster was about £17.

    This is the one I got.. I thought I would have been ok because it says in the description that it fits 1 1/2 and 2 inch outlets but I think that might just be for the rubber seal that fits to the threaded end. There was a 2 in rubber seal in the pack.

    Thanks for the quick replies, I think the flush valve option probably better as I don't want to start removing the pipe as well.. I'll have a search online for the flush valve.. I'll take the other back to screw fit.. So there's nothing I can just slot over both ends on the existing pipe and new...

    So the pipe coming out of the toilet bowl is 2 in and the new fluid master threaded end is also 2 in. The old flush system had a threaded end slightly bigger than 2 in as in the pic.
