Sounds like you`ve something blocked. Is it a sealed system(combi)? If it is i doubt you`ve any check valves in the pipework.

In theory, your pressure guage would rise on heating demand to such an extent that it would release it through the prv and run under 3 bar while still running. Then when cool it would drop below normal pressure. As stated before in the post, if the pressure guage doesn`t rise you`ve got a leak...

Have you tried turning all the rads off down stairs and the one upstairs and tied forcing the flow to the 3 non runners? Might be something as trivial as a tired pump taking the less obstructive route to the return pipe.

Order it with the "rain mac upgrade" if possible? :lol:

The diaphragm wouldn`t work correctly if it has a hole in it. Ask your plumber if he`s so confident that this is the root of your problem he`ll do a "no fix no fee" on the repair?

If any water at all is entering the case the fan, when running, will attract water vapour towards it as it`s heated up inside the boiler.

And keep your fingers crossed that the pcb packs in while it`s still under warranty! If it`s one of the earlier pcbs it`s gonna pack in soon if you`ve had it 4 months. That might be a record :!:

Easier to hire one at bansons. I loved the idea at first, thought of buying one, glad i didn`t! Hired one only once. Good bits of kit but not as useful as you first think.

Changing the gas valve on a space saver II tomorrow. It`s a honeywell V8600A 24V. Anyone happen to know the burner pressure for this as there`s no manual on site for it.
