    biasi 24s no hot water

If the flame isn`t as high as usual, it`s modulated down due to sufficient heat in the heat exchanger, fan would follow suit. Overheat stat may be at fault giving a false reading on flow temperature, although you can override it with hot water on slight demand? Sounds much like a flow problem.

    biasi 24s no hot water

Fan doesn`t start then? If not, start checking across the connections from the microswitch towards the fan, multi-meter would be handy, goes from the left hand pcb to the right hand one via a jump over, follow the fan wires back if you`re unsure. Somewhere you will find where the power to the...

    biasi 24s no hot water

Undo the screw in the center of the pump, is it spinning? Does the pin on the diverter come out fully clicking the microswitch in the plastic housing clipped to it? All this should be checked on heating only! Forget the hot water for now, that`s the easier part. The pump should start first...

NO power at all to boiler

The room stat will be the best place to start, that tells the boiler to fire. Go to the control box and try linking it out with a piece of wire(power off first obviously)

Building Regs question for new boilers

As posted earlier, you may place a stat anywhere you like in the house, best kept in a room where you spend most time, away from the rad, 1.5 meters from the floor, not where it will be affected by direct sunlight, and not on an outside wall.

It`s worcesters policy of selling as many spares as possible, even if you don`t need `em! Why sell just a board when you can sell a gas valve too?

    Central Heating Replacement Question(s)

I`ve had 2 customers who have told me on entering their property that they`ll supply the boiler because they`ve seen them on the internet at a knock down price. Believe it or not i don`t mark up on the boiler i supply, customer A bought a worcester bosch for £97 more than i`d have paid, and...

Building Regs question for new boilers

According to my area inspector, on a boiler change trv`s should be offered to the customer, if they refuse them it`s the homeowner contravening building regulations not the installer. The system you are effectively upgrading wasn`t designed by you so it`s basically a loophole. On a new system...

    plastic pipe on central heating

It`ll be on the manufacturers instructions for your boiler. Most manufacturers state as a rule of thumb that no plastic pipe or fittings within a metre of the boiler.

    room thermostat

Buy some sentinel X300, put it in the system, read the bottle, follow the instructions, flush thoroughly, then add the inhibitor, preferably a good brand name such as sentinel X100. How on earth did your plumber fill in the benchmark if he didn`t even put the inhibitor in?

    room thermostat

Yes you`ll need to take out the existing timer. They`re a staight plug in affair. Not cheap, about 120 to 150 quid, but saves on wiring etc, and you can do it yourself. And yes, the room with the new room stat in should have the trv removed.

    room thermostat

Sounds to me like he was rubbish! No inhibitor and no room stat. There`s a wireless 7 day programmer and room stat for these, plugs in the boiler. Worcester MT20.
