The diaphragm on these boilers works the hot water, so if it`s "leaking" that`s more than likely to be the hot water problem. Cheap boiler but parts can be expensive. The pump for one of these is over £100.
Don`t take this the wrong way, but the thing that`s wrong is you`re running the boiler with the cover open! It`s not too much of an expense to fix the problem, and an engineer with a bit of savy will suss it straight away. No matter how many times you ask neither myself or anyone else here would...

Yes, the blockage may only be on the flow side. The water would still be able to back-fill through the return pipes. Might be a case of removing the 3 rads and checking them.
