Surely the RSJ size is stated on the drawings?

Structural engineer, drawings and planning fees: £500 (I just got this done recently and this is a good price) RSJ: £100 ish depending on size Builder to knock down wall and make good: £900 (ish) depends on what area you are. Plumber: £150 - £200 depending on how far you want it removed...

I just bought the correct scew/length and it just wasnt going through the RSJ at all. Not sure if i am going to need to drill a hole first to make it easier...

Its not going into wood, its going into an RSJ. This still suit?

If i get something like this: http://www.screwfix.com/p/self-drilling-screws-with-washer-5-5-x-120mm-pack-of-100/95940 what size of HSS bit should i get? 5mm?

What do you mean counter bore the heads? Would i need to drill into the RSJ with a HSS bit first before i use these self tappers?

If u have something constructive to post fair enough. But u don't. So please don't post on this topic. I have already stated cutting back or killing weeds isn't a problem on this bit of land!! End of!

I'm not here to debate it's ownership!!! I was here to get advice on how to tackle weeds through my fence.

Just to be clear... This isn't someone's garden that is on the other side. It's waste land.

Does that kill scrubs and trees as well?
