I still don't get how it can be the expansion vessel if there is a pressure drop when cold? Does that mean i have a hole in the expansion vessel diaphram? Why would the expansion vessel need recharged? Is the air escaping? confused.com lol

Just noticed a couple of days ago, new rad was fitted 5 days ago. How long should the small pressure drop last for if it is the auto air valve?

Its 1.7bar when cold at the moment. He only ran new pipe work upstairs. He took the feed and return from another radiator on the other side of the wall.

I dont know if its leaking when its hot as i dont want the pressure to rise even further. Not sure about isolating the boiler. I have checked all the pipe work and it all seems fairly water tight. Put Tissue paper around the joints overnight and nothing looks like its leaking.

Surely he would fire up the boiler and he would notice it then? He didnt even turn the heating on!! I can understand the pressure increase when hot if its the expansion vessel that needs recharged. But what about the pressure drop when cold? I dont understand why that would be happening...

He installed the radiator with the 15mm copper pipe at an angle going into the TRV. It leaked. He came back to fix. Twice. I should just get someone else in

He didnt check anything before re pressuring. He just done the work then repressurised. As far as i know it hasnt got more than 3bar sot he pressure relief hasnt opened. This valve is only 9 months old as it was replaced due to the old one leaking.

I have 11 radiators now

This really angers me... I just spoke to the plumber there and he said "I cant think anything that would cause that, keep an eye on it- you might have a problem with your expansion vessel" I have already paid this guy, should i insist he comes back up to recharge the expansion vessel...

I don't feel the need for the MR PB, I am going to tank the shower area anyway. The tiles are going directly onto the PB so it will all have to come down in the future if we decide to update the tiles...
