Hi I have a Gledhill Gulfstream A-Class 12-OV/SS to provide hot water and power the underfloor heating in my 2 bed flat. It says in a brochure that the temperature to the underfloor heating can be controlled but I have no idea how. Does anyone have a installation manual that explains how...

I have bought a 37 inch Samsung LCD TV. Apparently it weighs 18kg, so not actually that heavy. I want to wall mount it in my new flat but the wall where it needs to go is an internal wall and isnt solid. I thought it may have wooden beams to locate but Ive been told it went up with a metal frame...

Tiles coming away from Wall. What can I do?

OK, so I went for it. They came off sooo easy. They were only left on by the grouting between the tiles. Thanks for the tip of taping them together. This really helped. I used 3 strips of masking tape on each row, and chipped away at the grouting and eased them off. Whilst I tidy them up...

Tiles coming away from Wall. What can I do?

Do you think these tiles will remove quite easily?? If im at risk at making a mess I could just fill the gap with sealer, and ignore it for another year. It doesnt look great but if I start this project and it goes wrong and I damage some tiles or more move then it could be very expensive to put...

Tiles coming away from Wall. What can I do?

No there is very little gap between them, so I couldnt just remove a row of 2 and fit them back in. I was wondering if I could remove a row of two tho and then use a tile cutter (ive never used one before) to trim a few mm off the top of one lot and then fit them back in. Ive never done anything...

Tiles coming away from Wall. What can I do?

The tiles in my bathroom in one small area are coming away from the wall. Rather than try to explain ive included a photo. I think there may have been a leak from the flat above before I bought the flat which has led to this happening. The owner of the fla above also owned my flat before I...

HELP, Replacing Kitchen taps - Collet joints.

Just to say thanks for the replies on this. I eventually gave in and got a pro in. He also struggled removing these joints and had to cut the pipe first. He the replaced the pipe above and fitted a metal joint. A simple job yet proved to be beyond my very limited plumbing ability. Many thanks...

HELP, Replacing Kitchen taps - Collet joints.

Thanks for the replies. Really appreciated. Unfortunately theyre stuck solid, the darker grey coller doesnt move up or down even under my full strength, and I cant pull the pipe out. Is there a plan B by any chance or a way of making this easier?

HELP, Replacing Kitchen taps - Collet joints.

Still desperate for help. Do these joints look re-usable or am I better cutting the pipe below this joint and fitting a new push fit connector and flexable connector?

Cooker wont fit due plug socket on wall so needs re-wiring

Thanks for the quick response. Yes the cooker does just fit with the socket alone, and it is quite a deep socket, so a slightly thinner example that doesnt need a plug and has a built in fuse sounds perfect. I'll be back at homebase tomorrow for a look, and will update on my success. Thanks...

Cooker wont fit due plug socket on wall so needs re-wiring

I've just successfully installed a new hob, and thought the single electric oven was going to be easy but hit major problems. The picture below shows whats on the wall looks like in my oven housing. Looks a bit like it was installed by cowboys to start off with. On the left is the wiring to the...

Kitchen restoration. New Doors etc. Best Place?? How?

Was thinking of getting a new kitchen in my small flat, but am put off by the £5K quotes and am not sure it needs a whole new kitchen. The Doors/drawer fronts and handles are looking a little old, and some of the insides of the cabinets are damaged or look bad, especially under the sink where...
