Yes, sorry its the 438. I have a feeling it is S53, I have heard this code mentioned by someone. The controls are pretty standard, programmer with room stat to the GF and a room stat on the FF landing, U/F heating has its own stat in the one room which has u/f heating. Does this help?

Have you considered larger radiators... normally helps. Is your room stat in a warm area i.e. near a rad. If it is then it may think the house/room is up to temp. when actually it isn't. As said, lots of things that could be the problem.

Better than being too small, you can always turn it down if its too hot, thats why you want a room stat right?? You can get simple wireless digital stats, like the drayton, once its set up you can you push the up or down arrows to change the temp.... next day or time setting it just reverts...

I take on board your comments... but answer this. Why do unvented cylinders outsell the heat bank (thermal store) type cylinders by about 50 to 1 ? And the unvented's tend to be slightly more exensive, as you have already mentioned. Why are they not in every house, the unvented cylinders are...

Why are you always pushing the thermal stores. Ive never come accross a plumber that prefers one over an unvented indirect cylinder, wouldnt touch Gledhill with a bargepoll

So, lets say the labourer has core drilled the opening for an extract fan from a bathroom, is it normally the plumber or the electrician that would normally install the unit?? :P

Is it the plumber or the electrician that would normally install extract fans, does the plumber install the fan unit/ducting and the electrician wire it up, or does the electrician normally fit the unit aswell? :)

On a typical job for a house is it yourselves (electricians) that would price for the ventilation extract fans and supplies to the fans... or normally do you only wire them up and the plumber fits the extract units? I know it depends on a few things, but what tends to be the norm?

I wonder if you can help. When downlights are fitted in a property what is the normal installation practice when insulation quilt is laid near them. Firstly, in the first floor, I assume the insulation in the loft has to be well away from the fitting in the loft due to the heat they disipate...
