    Emulsion over gloss

I forgot to mention that it's on lining paper and doesn't look sanding friendly.

Are cracks in Artex enough damage to release asbestos?

Any damage will potentially release fibres, so be careful. Textured coatings with asbestos typically contain around 5% asbestos, so drilling a hole is going to be very small amounts of asbestos. A small risk but a risk anyway.

    Emulsion over gloss

I need to paint over some gloss with emulsion (looks like a bad job painting skirting boards left a load of gloss on the wall). What prep should I do to the gloss? I have a spray can of Zinsser Cover Stain - will that work?

    Caulk - best product

B&Q sell a Soudal product which is very watery and every time I've applied it, it's been rubbish. I took some back for a refund. I like the blue tubes of Polycell stuff. Quite thick, very white and lasts.

    Flexicom 15hx - F22 (and other faults)

Ok, thanks for the help. It's not a regular occurrence but I'll give that a try. Maybe that explains why if I keep resetting it works eventually - some heat is getting retained at each attempt. Anyway, fingers crossed for next time.

    Flexicom 15hx - F22 (and other faults)

Thanks for the reply. The pump is on setting 2 - should I try setting 1? It's a 3 storey property (in case that makes a difference for how far it needs to pump).

    Flexicom 15hx - F22 (and other faults)

Hello I have a Gloworm Flexicom 15hx boiler and have been getting F22 fault this week. When I encountered this in the past, it was a matter of checking for air and increasing pressure. Eventually I got a faulty 3 port valve replaced and that fixed the issue. I have noticed the pressure...

    What is this grey box?

Thanks for the replies. I've removed the boxes and will glue some plasterboard over the area where the cables were (now pulled slightly behind the plasterboard. I doubt they'll ever be needed again but I know where they are if I need access. Now into the bigger job of levelling the...

    What is this grey box?

The box has been redundant since we moved in at very least and that was 3 years ago. There's another phone line I had installed so not concerned about the contractual issues - my worry is if I blow something up ripping it out!

    What is this grey box?

Thank you Safe to cut the cables and leave them buried behind the plasterboard?

    What is this grey box?

Thanks for the replies and for pointing out the dodgy angle - using my phone and can't be arsed editing the angle! Another photo of the internals to follow.....

    What is this grey box?

I have a grey box with two black cables going into it and I don't know what it's for - does anyone know what it is? The old NTL cable box is next to it - unsure if that's a red herring or not. What do I need to do to safely remove it?
