hi just been to local hard ware shop for some plasterboard fix to stick a piece of plasterboard to side of chimney breast where its all fell off.They didn`t have the stuff i wanted and the lady there said they usually use browning,would this work?as i have half a bag already cheers mark

well ive tried that already and still cant tell as the light and grill and ignition packed in ages ago haha. although having said that the light came on for a minute last sunday but then oven stopped working

not sure till i get it out. is there usually a extra cable for grill or light?or ignition switch on hob maybe cant think of anything else it can be.

the only things ever plugged into that triple socket has been the oven and the other one. been fine for 8 years since it was installed

i haven`t bought 1 yet was just checking that it was ok to plug a electric oven into a socket aslong as it`s less than 3kw

hi all, my built in electric oven has bit the dust.The fan still turns but noisy and do`s not heat up at all. I have a small kitchen and the only sockets in there are a single undersink for washer.a double over worktop for kettle ect.. and a fused triple socket in cupboard adjacent to oven...

i can get the wire in physically.the live and nuetral will obviously be sharing same hole as another L+N just wondering whether there is a limit to how many is allowed. and is it safe

hi, i`m gonna connect my mains smoke alarm up to the ceiling rose i`ve interconneted the 3 alarms using 3C+E. so its twin and earth to ceiling rose from the alarm. the ceiling rose already has 4 cables in,is it ok to add another? cheers

hi i have a stairs wall which has been skimmed,nothing wrong with it but theres a lip half way up. i plan on putting some sort of moulding along the top of the lip. can i just use browning and skim to get the bottom half flush? will i need to use that (is it pva glue) liquid to help skim take...

i`ll post a pic within a hour and test all fuses individually to see what they turn off if that helps...have 3 fuses marked sockets,2 lights but i`ll check ok the ground floor has solid floors so all cables in wall and its tricky to say for sure.

so any suggestions of how i can add the 3 sockets? the consum unit is grey and only fitted when had a rewire 7 years ago.

no the 2doubles in middle aren`t linked. will it say on fuse?

i presumed it was a ring circuit.the cable`s feeding the 1st floor beds come straight from consum unit i geuss as the shower cable is with them. why am i spurring from a spur in bottom pic?
