    What is actually in there is one 3 core, and three 2 core (red and black), but all the blacks are on a single terminator block.

    The red of the 3 core is actually going into the lower COM.(odd, right?) No light fittings have been changed, only the switch.

    Sorry forgot to put that in the diagram, they've been made redundant by placing them into individual terminate blocks. The blue, the yellow and the red(com) of that set.

    Thanks for the reply. Tried what you suggested, but nothing happened. Pump still quiet, but I can still hear the one next to it spinning, it is labelled "primary return to heat generator". I'm just thinking though, would the pump spin if the control system does not think the CH should be on...
