    Worm casts

Worms are the best thing you can have in your lawn. Is it actually worms that are causing the problem though? Leatherjackets are very active at the moment and casue more trouble in lawns than worms.

Scarifying - what order to do things in.

I've always put down a good lawn weed/mosskiller first, waited until all the moss and weeds are dead (couple of weeks usually, mowing lawn as usual when needed) and then scarified the lawn to get all the dead stuff and thatch out. Works well for me.

    Spiders

True, the best way of getting rid of anything is to remove the food source. Ant killer does work on spiders. HOWEVER if you have lots of spiders, you have lots of food for them - get rid of the spiders and you could be over run with their food source. 3 months isn't a long time in the scheme...

    yew tree turning yellow

Are all the leaves going yellow - or is it just the new growth that is yellow? New growth is a bit yellowy in colour. Do you feed it fertiliser? - if not give it some.

    Fence Laws!

Law there may be different - but if it's their fence on their land then - no, they don't have to replace it, but you can put one up on your land if you like (subject to height/planning restrictions).

The conveyencing clerk should have found whose responsibility each boundary was when you bought the house (and them let you know) - it should also be in the house deeds.

    Uretek

Do any members have any experience with Uretek. It is used for underpinning. Reason I ask is we are considering buying a house that has been completely underpinned by the Uretek method and wondered what peoples comments are about this. e.g. "Don't touch it with a barge pole" or "Safe as...

I once counted over 200 in one night at the last house I lived at - the garden had been quite neglected. And yes the birds will be poisoned if they eat them - clear them up each morning, the earlier the better.

INDICATOR has its own mind - Peugeot 206

Common problem with the 206 (check out the 206 owners forum). I (and many others) remove the indicator stalk assembly, spray inside with WD40, let the excess drain out, wipe dry, refit and you're sorted. It lasts about a year for me before I have to do it again (I only do 6k miles a year...
