the person at one of the top flats phone started to to hum. all thats connected to it is telephone wire so she got someone out who disconnected the full system instead of fixing hers. my plan is to disconnect the top two flats so there wont be any problems if there phones are still attached this...

i think that simple look at the picture the old cable in the intercom has a connector box on it i would simply leave the connector box on it and tape it all up and leave it in the box then drill a new hole for the new cable to come in with a rubber gromit. and connect that up with the old wire...
