the wood is untreated you want to go over a finished surface this stuff will help the paint stick. use the ronseal because it was designed for it and will last longer/ wont chip as much

scrape the lose then give a coat of paint then fill were needed then sand down and touch up the filled then give a final coat of paint

Don't do it lol if u have to, bin 123 is good to prime it wash and sand it first tho then your ronseal

paint with emulsion and if any stains touch up with oil based gloss let it dry then touch up with emulsion then apply a final coat
