    i am a bit out of touch with prise as i dont do much private work, only for friend & local work. but i think £50 would be resonable for a diagnosis if you were to find someone local. we all have to think about fuel of course

    it only takes 30 sec to find a qualified engineer on the gas safe web. all engineers have to take extensive essessments which costs alot of money & if you have a local engineer he/she will reley on local buisness and do a good job for you. sounds to me that you havent had iyour boiler maintained...

    leave the boiler for a qualified engineer. your fault with the O/h stat tripping is not at the boiler, check the pump prob weak as hell causing the boiler to overheat, and get an engineer to put a new HT lead on the boiler when he replaces the pump for you.

    your condensate is backing up into the sump , so the condense system requires clearing & anew burner gasket ,you must get an approved engineer, look up gassafe web to find one.roughly 20 quid for the gasket & 60 for labor .

    the isolation valves i believe are the ball valve type which will leak if touched ,best drain , vent from the screw at the front of the pump

    i never said they need to be chanced, they are a very good boiler and willl go for years, just not very efficient compaired to a modern boiler , with older boilers its important to know where acm are so they are not disturbed. recamend you check for your self with manf most stopped using...

    the grafite gasket is eather a replacement or could be a later modal , manufactures will be quite happy to go through arcives.
