Landing & door regs for the first floor door (double story extension)

What's the layout downstairs. If you have room you could replace the staircase with straight steps brought forward 3 or so steps so it forms a flat landing at the top rather than the ankle breaker configuration you currently have planned. My neighbour did this and it worked well although it may...

What's behind the wall at the end of the stairs? Have you got the full layout of upstairs to hand? Downstairs plan would help as well

Landing & door regs for the first floor door (double story extension)

Have you got the room to pull the staircase forward to create a flat landing? In my opinion it would make your extension feel more part of the house rather than an add on. I'm no expert on building regs but if you have young children then having the layout like that all looks a bit dangerous...

    Isolator for fridge and freezer

Hi guys, New kitchen is almost in. The electrician has put in isolators for all of the appliances except the larder fridge and freezer. These are hard wired in behind the fridges themselves so no access. Is there a building regulation that says isolation must be provided? Does it matter...

    Quickstep help

Will try to get a sample Monday. If I can't is it enough to speak to quickstep and get the specs on the floor and underlay? I have read they advise some red underlay now to help with heat dispersion? Any truth in that?

Thanks. The units aren't properly in they are just in position. It was just bad timing with the delivery of the kitchen really. Luckily I wasn't painting myself as the guy was a genius working round the units.

    What type of shower

Yes i think its m head. I would have to get the plumber back to measure the pressures. One thing worth noting is the flow start off very good and then drops off. I have read this indicates a blockage somewhere. In my case I would have thought the main water line. I'm not sure how the outside...
