    I know the reasons,my point was to visibly see that drop kinda makes you think :? , I do 40 odd tightness tests a day........& 1 thing ive found out is theres alot of people living with potentially dangerous gas leaks.

    What about an E6 meter, your allowed an 8mb drop with no smell of gas!! Never been ok with that rule, it plays on the conscience! I have a question for the engineers here, if youve done a tightness test on an E6 meter and noticed a 9mb drop in 3 mins.....then investigated further & found when...

    Jeffrey, was that recent then? The job sounds easy, did you have many med pressure meters to change? Heard they can be a pain when taking pressure readings.

    I thought that aswell but some of the guys are saying this, will find out....but installers in general do seem to be making alot more than service/maintainence guys these days.

    Well the current guys are coming out between 30-40 grand, its price work so your looking to complete between 7-12 meter installs a day, the customers know your coming that day but you can phone them the night before to arrange a certain time.

    Cheers kirk, phoned & application on its way......do youz do installs aswell then?? I'm an installer at the moment but would be keen to get more into the service & maintainence side of things if given the chance, we'l see what happens but thanks for the tip :wink:

    Surely they have once you receive the certificates?? Are peoples interpretation of RGI a corgi one or ACS only??

    I have done for family & friends, incedently when people say RGI do they mean corgi registered or ACS qualified only, its just when you pass your ACS your details are registered with corgi so in effect you are registered, the corgi registration is just a bit like joining an exclusive golf club...

    Baxi aren't taking on in Cornwall at the moment, still awaiting to hear from Worcester, who according to one of their engineers is taking on in Cornwall. Also applied to the British Antarctic Survey, they require plumbers/heating engineers. Any other companies/ideas greatly fully recieved :D...
