But there is no 'open' vent just feed......am I getting you correct? The expansion of hot water would just expand in system therfore causing overheating wouldn't it?

Your right.....nerves are a *ugger aint they! I wasn't as bad as some though, there was an older guy sitting near me on my theory exam who couldn't stop shaking.....especially his hand which was all over the place, the assessors had to give him some water & a short break.

There is a reason for the pilot.......not sure though :? Maybe ChrisR can explain. The 3rd option is a tightness test at meter with iso valve open at appliance?

Yes......if the fsd fails gas will pass thru to burner which would then show (in a sizeable movement) on the manometer, this is what tutors have taught us this week.....it saves time on the assessment if your taking burner pressure, you can check fsd at the same time, so were told. With...

Weve been trained to check ffd same time as we do burner presssure, turn of iso valve to appliance with gauge connected.......listen for click then open valve back up....if theres a small blip in gauge then ffd is passing, I believe british gas guys called it the blip test. How do you check...

If I change the word "pilot" to flame doesn't that make sense?? Right....so.......when tap on thermostat opened and flame lit, gas opens full rate thru thermostat valve & into FSD/burner, when thermostat reaches required temp valve closes......but still maintains temp thru by-pass to burner...

Right....so.......when tap on thermostat opened and pilot lit, gas opens full rate thru thermostat valve & into FSD/burner, when thermostat reaches required temp valve closes......but still maintains temp thru by-pass rate to burner, when stat cools down valve opens again (depending on setting)...

Take screw cap of first, then adjust BP screw accordingly. For controlling gas flow......they also work for controlling thermostat temp. It works alot quicker, also vapour can be used to open & close electrical contacts using a microswitch.

Bp is adjusted by the screw on the regulator? Liquid exp device works on the principle of heat & expansion of liquid to open/close bellows on a safety device? Vapour differs from liquid exp in that when the liquid reaches boiling point in the phial it vapourises causing rapid volume increase...

Dont think so Yes, the main functions on an MFC are main gas cock, solenoid, governor and FSD.......working pressure is taken from meter, burner pressure & gas (working) inlet pressure is taken from P1 P2 test points on gas valve, pilot is adjusted with small screw on gas valve?? Isn't that the...
