Should I turn the radiator taps off under the boiler ? I don't want to lose the inhibator

Did you drain the system from the boiler drain plug and isolate the radiators (the 2 outside pipes I think )

Did you take the water pressure to 0 before you pumped it up ? What did you pump it up to ?(1 bar )

I had the pin problem a couple of years ago , when you take the diverter valve apart be careful the spring will fly out ( mine was covered in limescale ) give it a good clean and replace the diaphragm. It worked for me . My expansion vessel either needs pumping up or replacing

I have the same boiler as you with the same problem lol . + You need a domestic hot water kit to fix your problem...

Cheap option ? Would it be cheaper than putting a new ev in the boiler ?

Just had a call with my gas engineer (he's coming tomorrow ) . He asked me to turn off the power to the boiler and press the tyre type valve at the top of the boiler and see if air or water comes out . Is this dangerous and what's the point of it ?

That's not bad at all . I'm guessing it must be a quick job for that price

Just out of intrest what would be an average price for an external expansion vessel to be fitted ? (In assuming this is the most cost effective and easiest option )

I'm going to call my gas guy on Monday , is it likely I will need a new expansion vessel ?

Just had it serviced a month ago . Hopefully it will survive until the spring . It doesn't go into the red on the pressure Gage

Hi I've got a baxi 105e , it seems to be working great but I've just realised when the heating is on the pressure is going up by more than 1 bar (previously I only ever noticed it going up by half a bar ) . Does this sound like the expansion vessel needs topping up with air ?

Just the same when the inspection cover is up :-(

No the other toilet (upstairs toilet) is new and a different make and model

No smell at all , when I flustered it you can see the water flying out at a good rate
